What Are Neurological Conditions?

- Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
- Acquired or Traumatic Brain Injury (ABI/TBI)
- Spinal Cord Injury
- Huntington’s Disease
- Guillain-Barré Syndrome
- ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis)
- Functional Neurological Disorder (FND)
- Neuropathy or other neurodegenerative conditions
How Occupational Therapy Helps
Our approach is person-centered and function-focused. We work with you (and your care team or family) to support your ability to engage in daily routines and meaningful activities, while also managing the cognitive, emotional, and physical changes that may come with your condition.
Through customized strategies, adaptive equipment, and therapy, we help you maintain or regain independence in self-care, mobility, and household tasks.
We support memory, attention, problem-solving, and organization—essential for managing everyday life safely and effectively.
Whether through targeted exercises or compensatory techniques, we help improve coordination and function in affected limbs.
We teach pacing, prioritization, and environmental modifications to help you conserve energy and reduce fatigue.
We help you cope with emotional changes, adjust to life transitions, and build meaningful routines that support mental well-being.
We identify tools and adaptations that make daily activities safer, easier, and more comfortable—at home or in the community.

What To Expect
We begin with a comprehensive assessment, which may include physical, cognitive, emotional, and environmental factors. From there, we work together to build a customized treatment plan aligned with your goals.
Services may include:
- Functional mobility and ADL retraining (dressing, bathing, etc.)
- Cognitive rehabilitation and strategy development
- Fine motor and coordination exercises
- Adaptive equipment education
- Home safety and accessibility recommendations
- Support for caregivers and family members
Sessions can be provided in your home, in the community, or virtually – based on your goals and needs.
